Configuring grammar rules?

Is it possible to customize the grammar rules via DXL? There are 30+ rules and the Grammar level dictates the specific rules that are applied at each of the three Grammar levels. Is there a way, for example, to choose 23 of those rules, leaving the rest inactive? I found nothing that would indicate this is possible in the DXL reference manual, so I imagine it's not possible. If not, could you do something klugey where you ignore the rules you do not want to apply, without having to do that manually during a spell check?

Thanks for the help.

If you have a DOORS 9.3 installation you can find the source code to the spell checker tool unencrypted in "lib\dxl\standard\spelling\spelling.dxl". The program uses a Skiplist called "ignoreRuleSkip" that uses the ruleType number as key to keep track of rules that shouldn't be evaluated. If you modify the sourcecode you could pre fill the list with rules you dont care about. The ignored rule list gets emptied everytime the spell check finishes or the start button is pressed, so you might have to prefill it at several parts in the code.

I'm running 9.6. I found the spelling.dxl file, but it appears to be encrypted, which sounds like a change from 9.3. Is there any way to get the 9.3 version of the dxl file? Can you get the all the 9.3 dxl files somewhere, for future reference?

DOORS 9.3 versions can be still downloaded from IBM Fix Central - you need a IBM account for this and maintenance agreement (or what it is called)
